Lisvori anise, the key ingredient of Ouzo of Plomari, is carefully cultivated in the distillery’s privately owned fields on Lesvos, where the island’s unique microclimate is considered ideal for producing premium-quality anise. From spring sowing to harvesting and carefully controlled storage, every stage of the process follows a tradition and expertise spanning more than 130 years, ensuring the spirit’s rich aromatic profile and consistent quality. Combined with the soft water of the Sedountas River, sea salt from the Kalloni salt flats, and selected herbs and spices from across Greece, it creates the authentic Ouzo of Plomari — a spirit distinguished by its crystal-clear appearance, intense aromas, and smooth sweet finish.
